To meet the demands of the new model of decentralised production and trading between users, it is essential to innovate our technological approaches. ICONVOLT perceives this transformation on two basic levels.

• The first level focuses on hardware solutions, such as the installation of renewable energy generation units (RECs) and battery storage. These technologies help to mitigate fluctuations in the grid, which is crucial in situations where electricity demand does not match current supply.

• The second level is the software superstructure represented by the virtual power plant. This system allows effective flexibility management within a decentralised model of electricity production and consumption, thus ensuring optimal use of available resources.
